The Apostles' Doctrine

We stand for the faith which was built upon the holy precepts, practices, and doctrines, all of which are infallible. We believe that True Vine Holiness Church Inc. is a direct descendant of the original orthodox church that began on the day of Pentecost.

 

 

“And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, 

and in breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42)

Salvation

We believe that there is one true plan of salvation according to Acts 2:38. We believe that all souls must be spiritually born again according to St. John 3:1-9. An individual must come to a mind of repentance and ask for forgiveness of their sins. We believe that after an individual has repented of their sins they must be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. After repentance and baptism has been completed the believer must patiently tarry (wait) for God to fill them with the gift of the Holy Ghost; with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit of God gives them the utterance. We believe that once a believer must live a holy lifestyle according to 1 Peter 1:16. This holy lifestyle is a continual process.

Godhead

We firmly hold that Jesus Christ is God Almighty and apart from Him there is no God. We believe that there is one Lord, One Faith, and one Baptism. We proclaim that Jesus Christ is the name of God that was given to this generation as the ONLY Name whereby the people of this dispensation of time can be saved. The do not believe there is a "Trinity" as the word trinity was, is, and never will be written in the Holy Scriptures.

Attire

Everyone is welcomed to come to our church ANYTIME! As Holiness believers you will see manifested our belief in how the saints of God should dress. We believe that all true born-again Holiness believers are commanded to dress as becoming Godliness and that we are to be an example of modesty. We are in the Army of the Lord and believe we should be uniformed in our commitment to represent holiness both inwardly and outwardly.

Holiness

“Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am holy” (Leviticus 19:2). There is no other way mentioned in the scriptures. If Almighty God is Holy, then we, the children of the Heavenly Father, are to be holy as He is holy. The Bible says, “According as He (God) hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love” (Ephesians 1:4). Sin is not justified in any form, but rather it is total disobedience unto God. Holiness is surrendering your will to God’s will, submission, and self-denial in everything that is against God’s will.

 

 

II Corinthians 7:1, “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” Ephesians 4:24, “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and TRUE HOLINESS.” Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” I Peter 1:16, “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Marriage

We believe that marriage is a God-ordained union between one man and one woman, but only in a lifetime. We are firmly against divorce and remarriage. Divorce and Remarriage have never been the will of God. God Almighty has one bride, which is the church. That is a direct correlation and example of the governing of a Holy Union. The Holy Scriptures teaches, “Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery” (St. Luke 16:18; Romans 7:1-3; I Corinthians 7:39; St. Mark 10:11-12).

Homosexuality

True Vine Holiness Church Inc. shall NEVER ever endorse, support, or sponsor homosexuality. We firmly hold to the fact that God never created man for man nor woman for woman. It plainly states in Scripture (Genesis 2:21-24), “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” So we see when Adam fell into a deep sleep he did not wake up next to a man nor did God tell the man to cleave unto another man after leaving his father and mother. Even the nature of procreation is deemed impossible through the act of same-sex coupling as there is no pairing of man-with-man or woman-with-woman by which life can be created. Genesis 4:1 states, “And Adam knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.” As the law of marriage was ordained by God and not man. Homosexuals have the right to possess jobs and careers, to eat, sleep, and operate in their activities of daily living as we do. However, they have no God given right to marry another of their own sex, nor do their rights extend to raising a family. It is evident that two men coming together cannot make a baby, nor can two women. God has never purposed for one man’s seed to spill into another man. No goodness can come from the unrighteous spilling of seed. Pray for those who choose this lifestyle that they may repent of their sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins and be filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives them utterance.

Women Pastors/Preachers/Presbytery/Clergy

We believe, according to the Holy Scriptures, that God has never called or sent a woman to preach the Gospel, and it is certain that he never will. The Holy Scriptures says, “Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; BUT A WOMAN AMONG ALL THOSE HAVE I NOT FOUND” (Ecclesiastes 7:28). If Solomon did not find a woman in his day, then God has not sent any in our day. Isaiah declared, “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths” (Isaiah 3:12). According to the scriptures it is made plain if a woman leads you, you are in error. Women of today address themselves as Bishops, Apostles, Pastors, Evangelists, and Deacons, which is not scripturally appointed or supported. The Bible states, “Let your women keep silence in the Churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also said the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the Church.” (I Corinthians 14:34-35).

No Woman SHALL EVER be allowed to Preach at True Vine Holiness Church Inc.

Resurrection of the Saints

We believe that the time draws near for the coming of the Lord to make a change in the present order of things. The dead in Christ shall rise first and those that remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. The unrighteous and the wicked dead shall not rise until the thousand years have expired; then shall be the judgment of the Lord. “And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life shall be cast into the lake of fire”.

 

After Christ has come for his saints in the translation, he shall return with them and reign on earth for a thousand years There shall be peace on earth and good will toward men. After which, the second resurrection and judgment shall take place. “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the First Resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years”. We do not believe that SAINTS will DWELL IN HEAVEN! We believe that the saints will go to the place that Jesus said he would prepare for us in St John 14:3. That place is called New Jerusalem which is spoken of in Revelations 21:2.

Judgement

When the thousand years are finished, there shall be a resurrection of the wicked dead, who shall be survived before God’s Throne for their final judgment. All whose names are not found written in the Book of Life, shall be cast into the lake of fire, burning with brimstone, which is the second death that God hath prepared for the devil and his angels and the wicked who serve him.
