What We Believe

We stand for the faith built upon holy precepts, practices, and doctrines that are infallible. We believe True Vine Holiness Church is a direct descendant of the original orthodox church that began on the day of Pentecost.

We believe in one true plan of salvation according to Acts 2:38. All souls must be spiritually born again. An individual must repent, be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for remission of sins, and receive the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues.

Repentance is the first step in salvation and is required for anyone desiring to be saved. It requires sincerely apologizing to Jesus Christ for all sin and forsaking that sin completely.

No one has been baptized correctly unless done according to Acts 2:38 in the name of Jesus Christ. No one has received the Holy Spirit unless they received it according to Acts 2:4 with speaking in tongues. Both water and Spirit are required.

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ (not Father, Son, Holy Ghost) for remission of sins. The name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is Jesus.

We firmly hold that Jesus Christ is God Almighty and apart from Him there is no God. We believe there is one Lord, one Faith, and one Baptism. We do not believe in a "Trinity" as the word is not written in Scripture.

Holiness is the nature and standard of God. It existed before the foundations of the world and will stand after its destruction. Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. We are called to live holy as He is holy.

We believe in divine healing through faith and prayer. We practice feet washing, communion with one cup and wine, and tithe 10% of all income. We uphold modest attire and reject worldly adornment.
